Each employee at our clinic is highly trained and qualified to perform and provide the best neurological care in every step of our patients’ diagnosis, treatment plans, scheduling, reminders, and followups. Our team is committed to providing all our patients professional and kind care.
Tiffany, Practice Manager, received her Master of Science degree in Information Systems and Business Analytics from CSU Fullerton. She has experience in IT and healthcare management and has been with the Purino Fortanasce Neurology team since 2013. Tiffany believes in compassion in the patient-physician relationship and mentorship in the work environment.
She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She enjoys running half marathons, practicing hot yoga, and cake decorating. Tiffany manages the daily operations and long-term business development. She speaks Cantonese and Vietnamese.
Valeria joined the Purino Fortanasce Neurology team in 2016 as a biller after interning with us and completing her Medical Insurance Coder/Biller program. She believes in treating each patient with care and respect and strives to help each patient navigate the confusing world of insurance claims. Valeria resides with her partner and two sons. She loves the Dallas Cowboys and is a proud youth soccer mom.
Valeria has years of experience as our medical biller and collector. She is dedicated to helping our patients understand their medical bills and payment options. She speaks fluent Spanish.
Erika has been a Medical Assistant in our clinic for over 8 years now. Her motto is “a job isn’t work if you’re doing what you love”. She is currently in the process of applying to a Registered Nurse program. She has a desire to help others and make a difference in each and every patient’s life.
Erika is compassionate and empathetic towards patients' needs and does everything possible to create a positive experience. She is dedicated to advocating for your care and getting you the treatment you deserve. Erika is knowledgeable about the drugs we prescribe and is our patient self-injection training nurse.
Lorena is a Medical Assistant at our office. Throughout her career, Lorena has worked in various roles that included volunteering/interning for non-profit organizations that focused on youth development and their impact on marginalized communities. Lorena received her B.A in Psychology in Social Behaviour and Minor in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine. Lorena aspires to achieve her masters in counselling and work as a Clinical Counsellor with a focus on mental health issues for marginalized communities. Lorena will help with your check-out process, coordinate your medical referrals, and advocate for the patient by getting medical orders authorized by the insurance companies. She speaks fluent Spanish.
Medical assistant and Scribe
Courtney is a medical assistant and scribe at Purino Fortanesce Neurology Center, and hopes to one day become a Physician Assistant. She has been working in healthcare for over 2 years now and has found it to be greatly fulfilling. She is committed to do her very best to ensure that patients feel comfortable, safe and supported while in the care of our office.
She has been a SoCal resident for all her life, and is grateful for opportunities to serve the community. She speaks conversational Teochew, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Mai graduated from UCSB with a degree in biology and is currently working towards applying to physician assistant school. She has been working in various specialties such as Pediatrics, Rheumatology, and Dermatology since 2018. When working with patients, Mai strives to make the patients feel comfortable, heard, and understood. She hopes to be a physician assistant who serves the medically underserved and advocates for diversity and cultural humility in healthcare. Mai’s role is to help ensure that your medical reports are completed accurately, quickly, and that medications ordered during the appointment are submitted to your pharmacy immediately
Daisy, first-generation Asian American, a graduate of University of California, Riverside with a Biology degree, has been working at Purino Fortanasce Neurology Center since June 2020. Prior to working in this clinic, she worked in primary care and in the emergency room for the Her research areas of interest include psychology as well as anatomy and physiology with a focus on neuroanatomy. Currently, her career goal is to become a skilled and compassionate PA. As someone who strives for life-long learning and committed to serving underserved communities, she values the importance of delivering quality care to patients and is excited to be able to work in a team of medical professionals who shares the same mission and values.
Ryan is an undergraduate student at the University of Southern California pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience with minors in Business Finance and Applied Analytics. He is currently on the pre-health track and aspires to become a medical professional in the future.
His hobbies include table tennis, poker, working out/exercising, and watching/playing basketball. Ryan takes care of greeting patients and entering clinical data.
